Fully managed and hosted
On wildcloud, each ‘application’ hosts multiple tenants. Tenants are individual WordPress websites that share the same plugins and themes.
Applications have an auto-scaling feature that dynamically adjusts the number of containers based on tenant volume and demand at any given time.
While the system takes care of scaling to meet demand, you still have the flexibility to manually set limits on CPU and memory usage.
You pay only for the resources that you actually consume.
Paying for containers
wildcloud scales containers that have everything needed to run the application that hosts your websites.
There are two methods to pay for it. Choose what fits your needs.
1. Predictable
This provides a predictable expense, where you pay a pre-set container configuration for a fixed monthly fee per tenant.
2. Metered
Here you choose the maximum number of containers for scaling your application. You’re billed only for the actual container hours in a month.
1. Determine application type
Choose from three distinct container types, each optimized for specific use-cases.
Please refer to our recommended table.

Frequently asked questions
Resource-based pricing is a pricing model in which the cost of a product or service is based on the resources required to provide it. In the context of wildcloud, this includes things like the amount of computing power needed to run your applications, the quantity of requests made to the server to serve your application as wel as other application critical resources like storage and CronJobs.
wildcloud measures and bills resource usage in a variety of ways, depending on the specific resource item being consumed. For example, storage is billed based on the amount of data stored, while computing resources are billed based on the number of CPU and memory resources used. Other resources, such as network development resources are billed on usage as well. The only billing component that is different is the level of service for your subscription, which we also charge seperate, at the beginning of the period.
Yes, wildcloud allows you to customize the resources available to your applications. This can be done through the use of pre-configured plans, or by using our metered plan in which you specify the minimum and maximum amount of containers that can be used by your applications yourself. You can change the resource available to your application at any time from the Console.
The multi-tenant environment that enables these unique features is actually the most costly. It is, after all, comparable to a staging environment for all your Tenants simultaneously.
That’s why we enabled you to switch off the Version when you’re not using it. It does not impede your Tenants or disable you from launching new Tenants in any way.
Switching off a Version is done by clicking the big red button on the top right corner. When you want to use the Version editor again to update or install new plugins onto your tenants, for example, click the Version Editor button.
Relaunching the Version Editor might take a minute, but you’ll be much more economical with your wildcloud invoice.
No, but you can get started with wildcloud on the Essential Service plan with the most affordable container set-up. This way, you minimize costs while you’re still developing your application. As soon as you’re ready to launch you can reconfigure the application details to meet you product offering. Additionally, there’s a 7-day free trial without a credit card required.
No, the amount of compute does not lower when there are more sites. Having more sites increases the complexity of backups, Cronjobs, and peripheral services. Increasing scale does not allow us to optimize necessarily.
Using our metered plan you set the minimum and maximum amount of resources that will be utilised for your application. This way you know what the minimal and maximum costs will be. Base costs for the metered plan are the same as for the other plans. We will only charge you for the total amount of container hours used to run your application. Contact sales to inquire about our metered plan.
Unlike pre-configured pricing, the Metered Plan allows you to set up a minimum and maximum number of containers to be utilized for your application. This introduces more variability in terms of costs, however, you will only be billed for resource consumption. It is ideal for websites with inconsistent traffic patterns or fluctuating resource requirements.
To sign up for the Metered Plan, sign-up for a free trial. Then, select a service level and configure your application.
If you need help or have any questions about the plan, feel free to contact our support team.
For scaling configurations, we need to make an assumption on your utilization to get to a static price. Having a low static price will lead to losses on high utilization. If the configurations are too expensive, look into the metered plan.
Container usage is based on the total amount of container hours used within a subscription for a given month. You select a minimum and maximum number of containers that can be utilized, and you are only charged for the actual container hours used.
Yes, you can choose from three container types for your application: Small, General Purpose, and Heavy Duty. Each type has different CPU and memory allocations, allowing you to select the most suitable option based on your application’s needs. You can switch at any time in a given month.
To calculate the total cost per tenant, you need to consider the following components:
- Tenant Base ($2)
- Compute Costs (minimum and maximum)
- Backups
- CronJobs
The sum of these components will give you the total cost per tenant. Keep in mind that the actual compute costs may vary based on the number of container hours used. This also included operational costs (versions, snapshots and service level).
While the Metered Plan offers a less predictable pricing structure compared to fixed plans, you can still estimate your costs by considering the minimum and maximum container limits you set. The minimum compute costs will give you an idea of the least you’ll spend, while the maximum compute costs provide an upper bound for your expenses.
Yes, you can switch between the Metered Plan and a fixed pricing plan. If you find that your resource requirements or traffic patterns have changed, you can always choose the most suitable plan to optimize your costs and performance.
